PRESS RELEASE BY NETUREI KARTA REPRESENTING ORTHODOX JUDAISM
Orthodox Judaism is incompatible with and totally opposes the philosophy known as Zionism. It condemns Zionism both on the grounds of religious belief and on the grounds of the religious requirement to be compassionate and humanitarian to all mankind.
Neturei Karta is the group name of those Orthodox Jews who are prepared to express openly their religious opposition to Zionism and their sympathy and solidarity with the Palestinian cause in their struggle against the Zionist oppression.
As part of their expression of support for the Palestinian cause, representatives of Neturei Karta take part in protests, which draw attention to the Palestinian struggle, whenever and wherever they can.
THE WORLD, through the Agency of the International Court of Justice, has been examining the legality or otherwise of the physical barrier known as ‘the wall’ being erected by the Zionist State between them and the Palestinians. Our position is as follows:
The Jews were exiled some two thousand years ago by Divine decree from the land now known as Palestine, because they did not maintain the standards expected of them. From that time on we were forbidden and forsworn by our Torah not to attempt to come out of exile through our own efforts. To do so would be a rebellion against the wish of the A-lmighty and we were warned of the dire consequences of transgressing this prohibition.
Exile means that Jews must be loyal subjects of the countries in which they live and not attempt to attain political power over the indigenous populations of those countries. This stringent religious requirement applies equally both in any country in the world and in Palestine, where the indigenous population is the Palestinian people.
Added to the above is the religious humanitarian requirement to treat all individuals and peoples with compassion and consideration. To forcefully deprive a people of their homes and country is totally contrary to this requirement.
It follows therefore that it is the Palestinians, the indigenous population of Palestine, who have the right to rule in Palestine today. According to the Torah and Jewish faith, the Palestinian Arab claim to rule in Palestine is right and just. The Zionist illegitimate claim is illegal and what is more must inevitably be based on loss of life and deprivation of property.
Orthodox Jewry, therefore, pass no opinion on the legality or otherwise of ‘the wall’. We do however pass an opinion of ABSOLUTE ILLEGALITY on the ZIONIST STATE known as ‘Israel’. The root cause of ‘the wall’ is the illegitimate Zionist State that has caused untold suffering to both Jews and Arabs for decades. So many people ignore the root cause of the hate that has spread and engulfed the globe today.
IF THE ZIONIST STATE WERE TO BE DISMANTLED THE WHOLE QUESTION OF ‘THE WALL’ WOULD DISAPPEAR.
We want to tell the world, especially our Palestinian neighbours, that there is no hatred or animosity between Jew and Arab. We wish to live together as friends and neighbours. Let us not forget the peaceful coexistence between Jews and Arabs that existed throughout the centuries. All those memories vanished with the advent of Zionism.
The Zionist oppression of Arabs in Palestine is a tragedy for both the Palestinian and the Jewish peoples.
Opposition to Zionism and its crimes does not mean a hatred for Jews, so called ‘antisemitism’. On the contrary Zionism and its deeds are the biggest threat to Judaism and the biggest cause of ‘antisemitism’
Zionism is not Judaism - Zionists do not represent the Jews
We pray for an end to bloodshed, an end to the suffering of our Palestinian brethren and all innocent people worldwide. We are waiting for the annulment of Zionism and the peaceful dismantling of the Zionist regime, and would welcome the opportunity to dwell in peace in the holy land under a rule entirely in accordance with Palestinian aspirations.

Well, now...
I had looked at your previous post as one sided, and perhaps ill informed on your part. And so, I tried to instill some balance to the misinformation.
However, this post demonstrates that you indeed do have an anti Israel agenda going on here. There may be more at work as well, but it is too soon to tell.
There are fundamentalist, whacked out, misinformed, among all religions and you have managed to hang your hat on those of the fanatical orthodox Jews in this post.
They do not speak for world Jewry any more than Al Queada speaks for all Muslims.
In simplistic terms...these are nut cases. You do everyone a disservice by giving them voice.
You might want to do a bit of research before posting misinformation that only encourages violence in others.
Chuck, I really respect your views and welcome you commenting to balance things up.
I will never take offence to what you say and hey you may even change my mind on some things. I'm open minded that way.
However, I am only a lone blogger with about 5 people looking in here at most on any given day.
Fox, SKY, the BBC etc have access to millions upon millions of viewers watching their spoon fed muck day in, day out.
There are people suffering and even dying every single day in Palestine at the hands of the IDF and it continues to go unreported in the mainstream media.
More Palestinians died in the past 30 days in the region than Israeli's did. It would be nice to see a balanced and unsanatised news reports on my TV with no spin, but sadly that isn't the case. The BBC used to be quite trustworthy, but have really went downhill in recent years with their agenda.
I am not encouraging violence anywhere on here - in fact I am doing quite the opposite. I am a pacifist and want to see an end to the dying on both sides.
I am in no way anti Israel.
I am however anti Zionist and I am anti fascist.
peace,
Morgan.
Hi Morgan.
Well, we seem to be starting an energetic debate. I used to hang out with a bunch of folks when I was younger that would meet several times a week to debate these types of subjects. I miss those debates, so this is a good thing in my opinion.
Zionism is a national liberation movement, a nationalist political movement and ideology that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, where the Jewish nation originated over 3,200 years ago and where Jewish kingdoms and self-governing states existed up to the 2nd century CE. While Zionism is based in part upon religious tradition linking the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, the modern movement was mainly secular, beginning largely as a response to rampant antisemitism in Europe and in many parts of the Muslim world during the 19th century. After a number of advances and setbacks, and after the Holocaust had destroyed much of the existing Jewish society in Europe, the Zionist movement culminated in the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.
Perhaps it is not so much the existence of Israel you object to, as it is with it's policies.
Now to be sure, policies of many countries have a lot to be desired, as do those in Israel.
However, one of the overriding issues that must always be taken into account, is the right of thier existence. Do they make mistakes and have some policies that violate the basis of human rights? Certainly...as do many countries including the U.S.
But they may be in a fight for their lives at this point in history.
Here is an anlaogy, if you will...
Miners used to carry canaries into the mines with them. Should the canaries die, they know deadly circumstances are upon them.
You might think of Israel as the canary for western civilization today. Should Israel disappear at the hands of muslim and arab countries, it bodes deadly consequences for the western world.
Food for thought.
Yes Chuck you are right, it is their policies I have a problem with.
I was a little uneasy with your portrayal of Israel being the canary for the western world in your anology. You see, I have to see us all as equals and as you know, you should never compare apples with pears, or humans with little yellow birds!
I was always under the impression that the canary was accepted as being the miners potential collateral damage. Your anology suggests...........well, I prefer my anology...
Israel acts like the spoiled brat kid brother of the school bully, who thinks it is okay to bully their own peers, because their big brother is such a strong and powerful fighter.
Now and again though, the little bully gets a bloodied nose from one of the peers that has had enough. The big brother, for one reason or another, cannot help out and the little brother has to decide if he wants to risk suffering worse than a bloody nose by fighting back.
Often, he decides not to fight back, due to his inherent cowardice and so strives to get on with his peers in more friendly terms for the rest of their time at school together.
Lessons are learned and they all go on to live the rest of their mature years with a new found mutual respect, although they know they will never be best of friends.
peace,
Morgan

HI Morgan:
Well, your analogy is a good one as well.
And, in accepting yours as a possibility, let's hope the ending is just as good.
Will they ever be friends...never.
Mutual respect and acceptance...
We can only hope.
I am an old peacenik from the protest days and I despise war.
But, those who condone it, should be prepared for the consequences.
Too bad more folks don't follow that principle.
Thanks for the debate. I look forward to your future posts.
Chuck
